Meet The Doctor
Dr. Raul Velazquez, D.M.D., F.I.N.D (Fellow In Natural Dentistry)
From the age of thirteen, Dr. Velazquez knew he was destined to be a dentist. For forty-five years, he has focused on developing the best and most comprehensive dental care that embraces an integrative approach to dentistry that incorporates the whole body.
Dr. Velazquez is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico where he attained a bachelor of science in biology with a minor in chemistry. This was followed by a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry, from the School of Dentistry of the University of Puerto Rico (accredited by the American Dental Association). After graduation, he moved to New York City where he completed a General Dentistry Residence from Lincoln Hospital.
For the next 10 years, he helped and served his community. He was an instructor at the School of Dentistry of New York University. Afterward, he moved to Stockholm, Sweden where he experienced first-hand alternative and mercury-free dentistry, where his interest, skills, and commitment towards Whole Body Dentistry flourished. After returning to New York, he relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he felt there was a greater acceptance of alternative care.
His training in conventional and alternative dentistry has included work from the Institute for Natural Dentistry, Institute for Nutritional Dentistry, International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology, International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine, International Association of Mercury Free Dentists, and Holistic Dental Association.
Today he feels fortunate to be practicing Whole-Body Dentistry, where he enjoys helping every patient with nontoxic materials in a noninvasive manner. It is his wish to enlighten every patient about the wonderful natural techniques now available to create perfect total health.
